This year marks the 40th anniversary of RH Carter Architects, celebrating four decades of design. This year, the backdrop of the historic Old Mill was the perfect venue to host our 2025 staff holiday party.

The Old Mill property was erected as Toronto's first industrial building in 1793 along the significant Indigenous trading route, the Toronto Carrying Place trail of the Humber Valley. The mill has since persevered through many major changes and even a few fires, emerging generations later as the beacon of hospitality that it is known today.
The Old Mill stands as a symbol of reinvention and resilience, two notions that we recognize in the history of our own firm.

We gathered over a delicious meal at Canto restaurant to commemorate the end of yet another successful year for the firm. We reflected on the year—from new facility openings to design competition submissions to our annual Haven on the Queensway Holiday donation (pictured)—and raise a toast to 2025.

From the RH Carter team, we wish you all happy holidays and look forward to what the new year will bring.
